Band Parent Meeting 1/9/2018 highlights

Thank you so much for attending the Band parent meeting Tuesday night! We appreciate your questions AND suggestions! We check the email/texts several times a day and you will receive an answer ASAP.

The hot topic from tonight’s meeting is: Savannah Trip!

Savannah Trip (March 15-18., 2018) has been approved by the School Board! The cost is $500 per person. This includes chaperones and students.  We went over the trip packet in the meeting. The trip packet can be found at Click here for Savannah Trip Info.Mr. Lopez and Mr. Gaudette are committed to keep the students safe on this trip. Please see Mr. Lopez/Mr. Dubbert if you have questions about procedures and policies.

We have contacted newspaper and television. We aim to get the word out about this trip.  We also posted on Facebook! If you have any other suggestions, please let us know asap.

All Candy, Band fees and all county fees are due! The trip deposit of $150 is due ASAP! Even if you don’t have the deposit, please send in the commitment form. WE NEED AT LEAST 50 participants to go!

A few things to remember:

  1. All Marching, Jazz, Wind Orchestra, Guard, Symphonic Band students are eligible to go on the trip.
  2. Make all payments. Remember $250 Band Fee must be met PRIOR to making payments toward trip. $150 deposit is due on January 10, 2018. The remaining balance must be paid by Feb 28, 2018. 2 ways to pay: Online using Charms and/or cash/check in Payment Box.
  3. Students & Chaperones who pay for or earned trip are still expected to support/participate in fundraisers leading up to the trip!

Current fundraisers: Car wash on Jan 13th and Jan 27 at Charlotte State Bank & Trust on Peachland! Car wash is from 9am-2pm. We are expecting HUGE TURNOUTS on both days. We need ALL students and available parents to participate. Car washes are general fund fundraisers.

Mr. Lopez gave a brief overview of what’s happening in classes and thanked everyone for supporting the ALL county performance. PCHS had the largest number of students selected for the ALL County Band.
